DIY Felt Ball Bunny Easter Garland

filed under

Life has become a little crazy of late with me taking on tons of event styling and production around town, traveling, and now spring break with my kids. All this to say, I meant to share the tutorial for this DIY felt ball bunny Easter garland a few weeks ago, but better late than never! And there are still a few weeks left to make your own! This garland looks adorable on a mantel or Easter dessert table. Using a base of 4cm felt balls, the simple addition of felt ears and a pom pom for a nose makes this garland simply bunnyrific! (Or, if you don’t have time to craft – you can purchase a similar felt ball bunny garland pre-made, from our shop!)DIY Felt Ball Bunny Easter Garland

Materials for a DIY Felt Ball Bunny Easter Garland:

12 4cm white felt balls
-White felt sheet
-Light pink felt sheet
Tiny pink pom poms
-Hot glue
-Scissors

Begin by cutting outer and inner ear shapes from the white and pink felt respectively. Then use the hot glue gun to attach the pieces to each other to form the bunny ears. You will need 24 ears for the garland. Once all the ears have been cut and glued together, glue the ears onto the felt balls to form the ear. To do this, add a small dab of glue to the top of the felt ball and press on the felt ear.DIY Felt Ball Bunny Easter Garland

Next, glue on the pink pom pom nose. The final step is to string the felt balls onto a 6′ long piece of bakers twine. Thread the twine onto a large embroidery needle and sew through the felt balls right under the ears.

Once the felt balls are strung on the twine, tie the ends into loops to hang the garland.
