You all loved the DIY confetti side table from a week or so ago, and that got me thinking of even more confetti laden home decor pieces. This DIY colorful confetti clock totally fits the bill! For this project I ended up using pre-made confetti shreds from Target, but you can easily customize your confetti choices to get just the right color and look for your home. I’m so in love with the pop of colorful fun this brings to my office!
The Supplies:
- 18″ wood round
- Modern Clock Movement
– The one in the link is the one I used, but be warned that the arms of this clock are extremely thin and delicate.
- Metal hanging bracket (from the hardware store)
- 2 bags of confetti (I got this in the gift wrap section of Target)
- Glue
- Foam Brush
- White Spray paint (optional)
The process is quite simple. Just use the foam brush to brush on the glue one section at a time and press the confetti into the glue. Then repeat until the entire wood round and sides are covered in confetti.
Once you clock is filled with confetti and dry, screw the hanging bracket to the back of the clock and add a screw to the clock to hang the movement. I spray painted mine white, but feel free to leave it silver or paint it the color of your choice.
I’m pretty sure its safe to say that it’s always party o’clock around these parts now! Hahahaha! But in all seriousness (but not too much, because it is a confetti clock after all), I love this clock so much! It was such a quick and easy DIY (gluing things FTW), and doesn’t it just look right at home up there on the wall?!
