For this month’s foam challenge, I was asked to recreate a Halloween craft from FloraCraft’s free e-booklet that you can find here. They have so many fun ideas like Halloween wreaths, black cats, and pumpkins. After flipping through the e-booklet, I decided to make a few ghosts to display on my buffet. But instead of the standard white ghost, I ended up making a whole little family of colorful ghosts, and man are they cute!
I am now fully convinced that Halloween needs to incorporate more than just green, orange, black, and purple. These little ghosts are just perfect in their unique colors!
You can get the full details on how to make these little ghosts here in the e-booklet, but you can also see a few of the steps below.
The Supplies:
- Colorful felt plus black for the face
- Hot Glue
- FloraCraft Make it: Fun® Foam Cones in various sizes
- Wood dowels
- Black craft paint
- Pipe cleaners
- FloraCraft Make it: Fun® Foam Balls- 2″
Begin by using the template in the book to cut your felt into a cone shape, then wrap and glue. Use the pipe cleaners to wrap the wooden dowels to create legs, and cut the foam balls in half and paint black for the feet.
Once the paint is dry, insert the wood dowel legs into the ball feet and then into the bottom of the cone. Slip the cone inside the felt ghost cone and glue on black felt eyes and mouth.

From where did you find these felt colors? Michael's has some, but it doesn't seem to have the variety you used. Thanks!

You can find a larger color selection at Hobby Lobby or on Etsy.
