Lets start with my favorite part of this room which just happens to be the mantel. I filled the mantel with a few of my DIY projects from this past week and the result is so bold and colorful!
To begin with I added another Easter egg banner from Target to the mantel. The colors go perfectly with my spring color choices this year and the edge of gold around the eggs is just perfection.
On the left side of the mantel I kept my vase of flowers from Valentine’s day and added a gold bottom egg from Target and a new abstract art print by Britt Bass. I love her work and the colors in this print go perfectly with my spring mantel. You can also see a few of my Easter eggs turned candle holders. This ombre dipped candles are from World Market.
On the right side I have a few more candle holders another print by Britt Bass and my go to mantel decor of oversized crepe paper flowers in my emerald vase. I seem to be able to find a place for this on my mantel for every season (except Christmas). The large scale of this arrangement of faux flowers gives the mantel a little visual weight in my two story living room.
The center of the mantel holds the two color blocked rabbit vases that I made last week with a few faux flowers as well as these adorable gold bottomed Easter eggs from Target. These eggs are just regular plastic eggs with a round bottom, but I used small pieces of sticky tack to hold them upright on my mantel for the perfect modern Easter look.
Now that we have the mantel covered, lets move on to the rest of the living room.
In my standard black Ikea TV stand, I swapped out the red chevron wrapping paper that I taped up inside the clear glass doors for a pretty navy, teal, and pink rose print fabric that I found on clearance at the fabric store. I also added these gold terrarium vases from Joann stores filled with a few large faux flowers.
On the coffee table I added my little succulent planters on top of the marble dessert stands for a fun little centerpiece.
The final piece of the living room puzzle is my little seating nook where I added a mint colored lamp from the Target pillow fort collection and a cute little white faceted fox that I got for $4! Although he is a bit hard to see.
So what is your favorite part? The mantel right? Those abstract prints, color pops, and gold details have me swooning. Lets take just one more look, okay?
Yep, that’s what my colorful dreams are made of!
