I have been playing around with tons of confetti lately, so it’s only natural that it would make its way onto a few DIY projects. One of which I am so excited to share with you, but will have to wait until next week. Sorry for the tease! But in the meantime, I have a quick and fun confetti project that you can do in about 10 minutes! This DIY confetti planter is like all my favorite things wrapped into one! Confetti, color, and plants! And of course it is super simple to make, so there should be no excuses for not trying this DIY yourself. Plus I used a confetti mix from one of my new favorite people, Kristen Ley of Thimblepress, so now I have a fun little planter on my desk to remind me of the friends I’ve made since starting my blog. Doesn’t it just go so well with all my other colorful planters too? Give me all the plants! Ha!
Materials:
-Cement planter (I found this one at the craft store, but you can also paint a terra-cotta planter white with acrylic paint if needed)
-Decoupage medium
-Confetti (I used this push pop confetti)
Begin by coating the planter with your decoupage medium using a paint brush. Then roll the planter onto the confetti and press the confetti onto the planter to fill in any gaps.
Feel free to add more decoupage medium to any gaps and press in more confetti as needed. Then let dry and add your plants. So simple right?!
You can easily use this same technique with any type or color of confetti to create the perfect DIY confetti planter for you! And it totally makes my work day so much more fun and colorful. Like I really need more confetti and color in my life, right? Hahaha!
