I love earrings, but I find that I tend to rarely wear them. And more often than not, the ones I do wear are ones that I have made. A few years ago I used to wear earrings all the time, but after I lost my staple gold teardrop earrings, I sort of stopped wearing earrings aside from my special occasion pom pom earrings. So I decided it was time to make a new gold earring that I could wear with any outfit. These simple modern gold triangle earrings are a little mod and 80’s looking but still completely streamlined and delicate. The perfect combo! And they take all of 10 minutes to make, so you can whip up a pair before your next night on the town. Bonus? They cost less than $5 to make!
Materials for Simple Modern Gold Triangle Earrings:
-Brass triangle hoops (I got these brass ones here and here)
-Super glue or jewelry adhesive like E6000
-Gold jewelry wire (22 or 24 gauge)
-6 mm brass jump rings
-Pliers
-Brass ear hooks
Begin by super gluing the two triangles together. I went with a simple overlay pattern, but you can position them however you like best. If using super glue, then let the glue dry for 5 minutes, otherwise for E6000, let the glue dry overnight for the best hold.
Once dry, use the pliers and cut a 1” piece of jewelry wire and then use it to wrap around the jump ring and attach it to the top of the earring around one side of the triangle.
Next, use the pliers to attach the ear hook. Repeat with the other earring and you are done! If you want you can use a dab of glue to secure the wrapped wire and jump ring, or slide it to one side to create an asymmetrical look.
I love my new simple modern gold triangle earrings so much that I may have put them on right away (before the E6000 glue had time to cure), because I just couldn’t wait! Aren’t they mod and delicate at the same time? I am pretty sure these beauties will go with every outfit too which is a definite plus for this busy gal!

Hi,
i liked your idea, simple and stunning. I want to try but i am not able to get that glue, it is costly for me. Do you have any alternative glue to make this earring which is less price?

Any metal glue should work!
