If you follow along on my social media accounts, you may have seen that last week I was in LA doing a workshop for FIMO clay. So many of you asked for details on the projects we were working on, so I figured I would put together a little round up of the projects that I made with FIMO air dry clay and polymer clay. You can find the detailed tutorials for each of the projects here. The projects were all tropical themed and included tropical clay flamingos, palm leaves, and vases. My favorite had to be the palm leaf coasters, but many of you LOVED the flamingo drink stirrers. What can I tell you? They were pretty cute!

Now that you have seen all the DIY Tropical Decor projects, I know you must be ready to jump in and get making! If you have never worked with clay before, I recommend starting with the polymer clay. It is super easy to work with and doesn’t dry out. Once your piece is ready, simply bake at 275F for 15-20 minutes to cure the clay and harden your design. 

For those more experienced in clay, you definitely need to try your own air dry clay flamingo planter. While it takes a little sculpting, the air dry clay can be sanded smooth and painted once dry to give it the perfect flamingo look.
