Over on Eighteen25 today I am showing how to make a super cute snow globe cake plate for all your holiday treats. And shown on the cake plate is my Christmas tree cake that I made. I remember reading that Sara from TellLoveAndParty.com said her husband once asked her “Who eats cake on Christmas?”, and like her, I firmly believe there is no wrong time to eat cake. That being said, this adorable little Christmas cake is simple to make and goes perfectly with a snow globe cake plate. Wink wink.
You will want to start out with a
white iced cake (any type of cake and filling will work). You will also need fondant and three shades of green food color (or lime green and teal and you can mix the two colors to get a third color), and different Christmas tree and triangle cookie cutters.
Mix up three small batches of fondant in each of the three colors, roll flat, and cut out in three different tree shapes. Then use extra white icing to adhere your trees around your cake to create your little forest.
I added a few bottle brush trees to the top for a little extra Christmas tree forest action. After seeing how cute this came out, I am now a firm believer that Christmas cake should become a thing!
And how cute is it displayed on this snow globe cake plate? Now be sure to go over to
Eighteen25 and get all the details on how to make this snow globe cake plate too!

This is absolutely adorable!! If people can't take cake at Christmas this could work through January and much of February too! Always a reason for cute cake!
