Now for the sweet potatoes. I am in the process of creating sweet potato slips to plant out in the garden. I told you I would blog about the process as I go so that you all could follow along at home. The first step is to get a sweet potato either from seed potatoes at your local garden center, or at the grocery store. Cut the potato in half, Polk two tooth picks into it and place in a cup of water cover 1/3 to 1/2 way up the potato cut side down. Leave in a bright very warm area for several weeks until green leafy shoots form from the top. Here is a picture of what your potato should look like as it is ready to grow shoots.
Check back for updates as it grows.

would love to do this but it is difficult to find sweet potatoes to buy in Norway never mind trying to find seed SP, I dont think Norway has the heat long enough for these to grow, we have 2/3 warm months if we are lucky!!
