It has been raining here for quite a while which has given me a nice break from having to go out a water myself. This week two of my melons ripened, the orange one is a regular cantaloupe, and the green one is a rocky green ford. Last year I got 15 or do melons, but this year I have only had 4. I think I haven’t been watering enough for them. But here are a few pictures of the cantaloupe from when it first developed on the vine, to right after I picked it, to when I cut it up to eat.
In other garden news, my peppers are not producing at all. No flowers are even showing up, let alone peppers developing. I think that it is time to try the Epsom salt solution spray to stimulate fruiting. I will let you all know how it goes.
