The laundry room is often the most neglected room in a house, and ours was no exception. The spark that fueled my laundry room redo was half caused by Pinterest and seeing other people’s cheap laundry room updates, and half caused by my creation of the art that is the subject of this post.
I love when simple words are used as art in rooms (EAT in the kitchen, WASH in the bathroom, etc…). So, I purchased some cardboard letters from hobby lobby to spell out WASH thinking I would put them in my master bath. After a little more thinking, I decided to put them in my laundry room. And that led to the whole overhaul ( well except for our dated appliances, but that shall come later).
To make the letters a little more decorative, I cut the top part of the cardboard off using a sharp x-acto knife, glued floral foam inside, and then used some of my ever growing collection of fake floral stems to make a beautiful floral letter arrangement. I did have to hot glue a few of the stems in place, but overall the project was quick and inexpensive.
For this project you will need:
Cardboard letters from the craft store
Fake flowers
Hot glue
Floral foam
As for the laundry room, you will have to wait for the full before and after for another post. But let’s just say the colors are orange/coral and gray.
