Yesterday for our advent activity we “painted” some ornaments. Which really meant we just swirled paint around in some clear plastic ornaments that I picked up on sale at Michaels.
We just picked our paint colors ( the Martha Stewart ones were the best but were slow to coat) and squirted them in the opening of the ornaments and then just shook ( while keeping our fingers over the opening to prevent paint for spraying out) them until they were well coated inside and all swirly. Then we turned them upside down on a piece of parchment to let them dry and to let the extra paint drain out.
Today we put the metal hook piece back on and they were ready to hang. And that’s it. Super easy kid friendly way to make a swirly ornament.
