In celebration of national doughnut day on Friday, I made several new doughnut concoctions this last weekend. One of the best was this fluffer nutter doughnut.
Seriously. YUM. The best thing about these doughnuts is that shortcut to making the actual doughnut part. Shhh…. don’t tell anyone. I use canned biscuits. They fry up so quick that it is really easy to make doughnuts fast. And they taste like they were scratch made. You definitely need to try it!
To make these tasty morsels you will need the following:
- Canned Biscuit Dough
- Frying Oil (I just used vegetable oil)
- 1/4 cup peanut butter
- 1/4 cup Powdered Sugar
- 2 TBSP softened butter
- A Splash of Milk
- Marshmallow cream
- Chopped peanuts (optional)
To make the doughnuts, take your biscuit dough and a small cookie cutter or knife and cut the hole out of the middle.
Now heat your oil to 375F. Once at temperature, fry up your doughnuts one at a time until golden on each side and drain on some paper towels.
For the peanut butter portion of the doughnuts, you will need to mix the peanut butter, butter, and powdered sugar together until well mixed. You can then add a splash of milk to make the mixture more frosting like. Now frost your doughnuts with your delicious mixture.
For the final step, just spoon on some marshmallow cream and the chopped peanuts.
Yum, yum, yum! Gooey peanut butter and marshmallow goodness! Enjoy!
