I figured it was time to begin a new series. Up to this point I have mostly focused on creating new, original content for you all and while I love coming up with new ideas, crafts, and recipes, I have felt the need to show you all some of the things that I have been inspired by for the week as well as a few DIY’s I have been wanting to try out. So without further ado, my inspiration for this weekend.

After spying the copper pipe available at Lowe’s the other day, I have been scouring the web (and by web I mean Pinterest) for some fun copper pipe tutorials. This awesome DIY icosahedron light fixture from The Gathered Home looks amazing and like something I might just have to try! So are all these other copper DIY projects that Rebecca from the The Crafted Sparrow featured.

This DIY concrete tray from Sugar and Cloth is amazing and has gotten me thinking about projects where I can use quick setting concrete. I love the industrial yet modern look of this little tray and feel that a bag on concrete may just be making its way into my studio this weekend.

We don’t really have room in our house for a proper mudroom, but I find myself wanting a space out of the public eye to corral all of kids shoes, jackets, gloves, backpacks, and art work/assignments brought home from school. I figured that we could squeeze a little bit of storage into our laundry room which is right off the garage and were we usually enter our house, so it is the prefect place to catch all those belongings and keep them from littering the floor throughout the house. Here is one of my tiny mudroom DIY inspiration images. Hopefully we will begin work on this project this weekend!
