Just look how amazing they are. There is something about fresh berries that makes everything seem so much prettier. Don’t you think?
These little tarts are layered with Nutella, mixed berry cream cheese, and fresh berries. What is easier and more tasty than that? See below for the full recipe.
Berry and Nutella Love Tartlets:
- Refrigerated pie crust dough
- Mixed berry whipped cream cheese
- Nutella
- Assorted fresh berries sliced and mixed with a teaspoon or two of sugar
- Small tart pans and letter cookie cutters
To begin you will want to roll out the pie dough and cut pieces to the size of your tart pans. Gently lay the dough over top and push into all the spaces. Cut off the extra that comes out over the top of the pan sides. If you don’t have tart pans, you can just use a muffin/cupcake pan and fill the cupcake spots with pie dough to create a different shaped pie shell.
Once your tarts are filled with dough, use the remaining dough pieces to cut out heart shapes and LOVE letters (optional), then bake at 350°F until just golden brown. The time will very based on the size of your tart pan. My tarts only took 10 minutes or so, and the love letters and hearts took only 2-3 minutes.
Once you have your tart shells, you will begin the assembly process. Start by filling the shells with a layer of Nutella, then a layer of mixed berry cream cheese, then top with your berries and LOVE letters and hearts.
The layers of berries, Nutella, and sweetened cream cheese are just perfect! These tarts are best assembled the day you are going to
eat them, but who wouldn’t be impressed and love to get one of these
little tarts for Valentine’s Day? I know I would!
