- A few sheets of felt in your choice of colors. 3-4 colors works best for each tassel fob.
- Metallic felt in your choice of finish
- scissors and hot glue
- Key Clasp, Split ring, or binder ring (can be found in the jewelry department of the large craft stores)
Begin by cutting your colored felt into 1/2″ wide strips appx. 8″ long. Then cut your metallic felt strip appx. 3″ long. Like so…
Now layer your felt strips on top of each other and feed through your ring or key clasp loop and fold in half.
Then use your hot glue to glue the metallic strip of felt around the top portion of the felt to hold everything together.
Feel free to leave as is, or trim up the felt ends into a sleek angled look. Then just clip or attach your new felt tassel fob where ever you like! You can easily make 20 or so from 3-4 pieces of felt, which makes each little tassel only $.25 to $.50 each depending on which clasp/split ring you use. Not bad! I could just see whipping up a large batch of these to use as bridal shower or wedding gifts in your specific wedding palate. Or at the very least, an easy last minute gift for your gal pals for any occasion really. Because who doesn’t want a colorful tassel on their keys or purse?!
