Okay, so I know I said that yesterday’s post would be my last post until after Easter, but then inspiration struck and I have another easy last minute project to share with you. These color blocked egg vases are so easy to assemble and look amazing as a long centerpiece down the center of your Easter table or all in a line on your mantel. However you want to display them, they are sure to make your Easter more colorful!
The Supplies:
- Colorful Large Plastic Eggs (these where from Target but here is an Amazon option)
- Drill with 1/4″ bit
- Hot glue gun
- Rocks
- Flowers and Water for fresh or faux flowers
Begin by drilling a hole in the center of the top of the eggs and plug up the holes in the bottom of the eggs with the hot glue. Add rocks and water to the bottom of the egg. Place on the top of the egg and add your flower stems. Or if you are using faux flowers (which these are, surprise!), no need to add the water, but the rocks are still needed as they weigh down the eggs and let them sit upright.
And that’s all you have to do! These eggs cost me a whopping $2 and the faux flowers I already had on hand. So that is a whole lotta bang for your buck if you ask me!
Happy Easter! xoxo.

Where do you get your faux flowers? Love them!

I get them all over, but Michaels has the best selection. Or Afloral.com

The eggs won’t stay up even with rocks. Is it about having the right amount of weight?

Yes, you want to counter the weight of the flowers. Maybe try smaller flowers or less of them? or even heavy metal washers instead of rocks?
