This past week I helped Joann stores decorate their lounge space at the Go Wild planners conference and I posted a sneak peek of the confetti vases I made to hold all the flowers. Well, quite a few of you commented on how much you loved them, so I figured I might as well do a quick tutorial for how to make your own DIY confetti flower vase. And since they are so easy to make, you will have plenty of time to make one for your mom or the significant woman in your life before this weekend.
Materials:
-Confetti Mix (I used two bags of confetti from Party City for mine. One metallic and one tissue paper)
-Decoupage medium
-Foam brush
-Glass vase
Begin by coating your glass vase with a layer of decopauge medium using the foam brush. Then sprinkle and roll the vase in the confetti mixture. Use your hands to press the confetti into the decoupage medium. Then set aside and let dry. Once dry, you can come back to add a second layer of decoupage medium and more confetti to fill in any gaps and give the vase a nice thick coat of confetti.
Set aside to let dry again, and then your vase is ready to fill with flowers.
Feel free to cut up tissue paper in your own choice of colors or look at the craft store for various confetti options to change up the look of your confetti vase. You can even glue the confetti on in an ombre pattern or do all black or white confetti. The options are really endless. And while flowers are pretty all on their own, a DIY confetti flower vase really helps bring the wow factor to a gift of flowers on Mother’s Day, don’t you think?
