It’s August, which means I can officially start sharing Halloween crafts, right? I love the Barbie vibes of this DIY disco cauldron I made. You could leave the cauldron black if you’re more of a traditional Halloween girlie, but why not take it up a notch and add some hot pink and peach ombre spray paint? The finished product will pair perfectly with the acrylic bats, ghosts, or the disco pumpkin from my newly launched Halloween shop!
Get a head start on your Halloween decorating and whip up this DIY disco cauldron. You can see the full DIY video here.
Supplies:
- Cauldron
- Spray paint in hot pink and peach
- Fiber fill
- Small and medium disco balls, enough to make your cauldron look full
- Permanent glue dots or hot glue gun
Instructions:
Step 1: Spray paint your cauldron in your two colors, letting them overlap slightly to create an ombre effect.
Step 2: Add fiber fill to fill up the cauldron, then attach the disco balls on top using permanent glue dots or a hot glue gun. Let some of the smaller ones spill over the side to create a cascading effect.
Bonus points for cutting some star shapes out of iridescent card stock to attach to the front of the cauldron!
Once your cauldron is complete, make sure to set it up somewhere the light will bounce off of it. The effect is magical!
