It’s back to school time, but even if you aren’t heading back to school yourself, you might as well take advantage of all the school and office supplies out there and give your desk a little refresh. When on one of my weekly Target runs (I seriously can’t stay away), I found the prettiest colorful file folders in the dollar spot that were just begging for a fun makeover. A bit of gold vinyl and my Silhouette Cameo later and I have my favorite new way to file papers.

With the almost non-stop playing of Rihanna’s “Work” on the radio (and in my head), I thought the lyrics would be perfect for a folder to hold, well, work stuff. Then when brainstorming more fun lyrics, Destiny’s Child “Bills, Bills, Bills” came to mind. These two songs lend themselves perfectly to work folders don’t you think? Throw in a little fun with a few hot guy pics (because my office was totally slacking on those!), and you have a great set of folders for all your needs. But seriously, you can customize these folders with any sayings you prefer, just use the Silhouette template to change the words to ones that work best for you.

The Supplies:

• Gold foil vinyl
• Colorful file folders (I got these three for $1 at Target)
• Silhouette Cameo
• This Cut File

Begin by choosing your phrases, or use the same ones as me by downloading the cut file above. Load your gold foil vinyl into your cutting machine and cut the letters out. Remove the excess vinyl, add your masking to the top of the vinyl, and then apply to your file folders. Once your vinyl has transferred, remove the masking and your folders are ready to use. All blinged out with your fresh, fun sayings.

My favorite has to be the Hot Guy Pics. I can use it for actual pics of hot guys or just as a diversion file to store other things. Which folder is your favorite? Have any other song lyrics that would be great on a few file folders? Tell me in the comments.
