I recently purchased a legit Pantone swatch guide to help in choosing colors when I design fabrics for my bags and I am so in love! All of those gorgeous glossy colors make this color enthusiast so happy. Today I am going to share with you a super simple way to bring a little Pantone love to your Easter basket with these DIY plastic Pantone Easter eggs.

There are two ways to go about making these plastic Pantone eggs, and while they are both super simple, one method will have you with your own batch color swatch eggs in no time.

The Supplies:

• Colored Plastic Easter eggs (I purchased mine from Target)
• White Plastic Easter eggs (also from Target, they were part of a yellow and coral plastic egg color pack)
• Thin tip black Sharpie
• Acrylic Craft paint and paint brushes (option for method #2)

For the easy method #1 of creating your own Pantone eggs, simply purchase both colored and white plastic eggs and swap the tops of the white eggs for the tops of the colored eggs, then use your sharpie to write PANTONE and the color number. There is no real need to have the actual Pantone # of the color egg top, but if you happen to have access to a Pantone book, so ahead and look up the number and use it. I consulted my book for these numbers, so you could always use them for a pretty close match.

For method #2, use the plain white plastic eggs only and the acrylic craft paint to paint the tops only the colors of your choice. Finish the eggs the same as method #1 by writing the word PANTONE and the color number. I did this for my orange and peach color because I couldn’t find those colors of eggs. But as you can see, both methods are easy and will give you the cutest Pantone eggs.

To kick it up a notch, go ahead and fill them with some color matched jelly beans and make all your designer friends gasp with joy! I know I would love to receive an Easter basket filled with these gems. How about you?
