Tonight we celebrated with hot cocoa, Christmas carols, and Christmas lights.
We loaded up the car with the family (minus Parker who was home with Brandon getting ready for bed) and headed out with fresh popcorn and hot cocoa to view some local neighborhoods Christmas lights. It was like our own trail of lights with singing and snacks in a warm car.
For the ride I made a huge bowl of salted buttered popcorn and some hot cocoa served in the kids snowmen mugs with little snowmen marshmallow pops.
They loved them! Here they are all decked out in their PJs ready for a ride to look at the lights and sing carols.
One of my favorite houses was this one:
They had a projected image of little red and green lights all over their house that made it look really magical. And it seams super simple too! Just one or two lights to plug in and stage to light up the whole house!
But the overall favorite house was this one;
They had every inch of their yard and roof covered with lights and different figures. Seriously the best house in south Austin!
For any locals, this house is just north of Convict Hill on a street between Beckett and Escarpment. You can’t miss it!
I even heard the kids exclaim on our way home that it was “the best night ever!”. Music to my ears!
