Now that it is officially after Thanksgiving, I feel like I can jump head first into all the Christmas fun! While I have been posting tons of fun Holiday crafts since November 1st, now I feel like I officially have the green light! These DIY abstract geometric colorful wood ornaments were inspired by the organic shaped clay and acrylic earrings I see popping up on everyone lately. I love the geometric shapes and colors of them so much that I used my Glowforge to laser cut large wood pieces to make my own ornaments. Now I have a set of the prettiest “tree earrings” for my white tree!

Now you might be thinking, I don’t have a Glowforge! Well fret not, I will cut these shapes for you and ship them on out for you to paint and assemble however you like! You can get a whole set (enough to make 9-12 ornaments depending on how you assemble them) for $12!

Materials to make your own DIY Abstract Geometric Colorful Wood Ornaments:

• Cut wood pieces (or use this template to laser cut your own)
• Acrylic craft paint
• Large 14mm jump rings
• Ornament hooks
• Pliers

Just simply paint, and use the jump rings to attach the pieces to each other in any way you like. Then add an ornament hook on the top hole and hang on your tree! So modern, colorful, and unique, don’t you think?

Again, I had to go colorful with my ornaments, but these would look so neat in black and white, or shades of dark green. You could even paint a pattern on them like stripes or polka dots. So many options for making your own ornaments!
