This year I am hosting Easter dinner with both families, so I thought I should put up a few festive decorations for the gathering. I didn’t want to spend very much however, and thanks to the Target dollar bin (of which I am an addict), I was able to get a few items that helped lend a festive vibe to the house.
First off, I used some cheapo ($2) plastic eggs and cool glue gunned them to a wicker wreath I found at the thrift store for a dollar a few years ago. Quick, cheap, and the kids even helped push the eggs into the glue I put on the wreath.
Next I used a tall flower vase and a few more Easter eggs from the Target Easter department for a quick shelf holiday update.
Lastly I found these cute Happy Easter signs for $3 each in the target dollar bin. I added a few more plastic eggs (so many uses!) and some fake ikea grass plants in two ceramic bunny planters ($15 each at target) to finish off the shelf. On the top shelf I have the cute foam spring flower garden that my daughter crafted from a craft kit I found at Target.
You will also see that I moved that ceramic yellow flower vase from the other shelf when I put this space together a few days later. I just thought it for better over here.
Overall super simple decor additions that I think help perk up the house and bring a little Easter cheer. And, although this sounds like a blogging as for Target, I was not compensated for this post. I am just an early 30’s mom who loves Target and all their offerings as much as the next gal!
Happy Easter everyone!
