filed under

The other day I was watching a periscope by the ever talented Joy Cho and caught a glimpse of the most amazing colorful pretzel pillow just hanging out on her couch. What?! I needed a pillow like that stat, so I decided to make my own using something unexpected. Tube socks! Yep, a simple pair of polka dot tube socks were transformed into this awesome funfetti pretzel pillow!

Isn’t it just the cutest? The best part is that you don’t need a sewing machine to make your own.

The Supplies:

  • Pair of adult sized polka dot tube socks
  • Poly-fil
  • Glue gun and needle and thread

Begin by stuffing your socks with the poly-fil until you have something a little like this:

Now tuck one of the open ends of the sock into the other open end and use the hot glue to attach the outer sock to the inner sock.

Now fold the ends over and cross them to create a pretzel shape. Use the needle and thread to sew the ends of the sock onto the bottom portion of the pretzel with a few simple stitches as well as sew the socks together were they cross on each side of the top sock.

Thanks so much Emma! I pretty much love every thing Joy Cho does and has, so I was tickled to be able to recreate this pillow for myself!
