DIY It – Copper and Marble Taper Candle Holders

filed under

I have been busy preparing a wedding table setting and cake table for my sister-in-law’s photography business. Of course you know I am DIYing as much as I can and these copper and marble candle holders were one of my projects. They are so simple to make (just a little bit of gluing), but they are just so stunning.

Follow along below for the full tutorial:

The Supplies:

Begin by removing your tile from the backing and use a sanding block to remove and excess glue. Then simply glue the tile pieces together to create a stack of your desired height, while rotating each tile a quarter turn from the last tile to give the holder a little dimension. I made several candle holders using various numbers of tile to create different levels. Once all your tile is glued together, glue your piece of copper end cap to the top of your stacked marble tile. Let dry overnight and then use with your favorite colored candles (or plain white ones!). Don’t forget to drip some wax in the bottom of the copper end cap to secure the candle.

So simple right? I can’t wait to use these with the rose quartz and serenity candles for the wedding photo shoot tomorrow! Hopefully I will get to share some pics of the set up with you in the next few weeks. Until then, stay crafty my friends.
