- 1 cup cranberries
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2-3 shots of vodka or alcohol of your choice
Add all the ingredients to a small pot and bring to a boil. Cook until the sugar dissolves and the cranberries start to pop open. Transfer to a blender and blend well, then strain into a storage container or measuring cup. Then add the alcohol and stir to mix well.
Now that you have all the components, simply snip the bottom off the shot tops, pinch to draw up the spiked “blood” into the pipette and place in your cupcakes.
Your friends then get to pinch the pipette to fill their cupcakes with the liquor syrup before they eat them. So fun, right?!
For an extra spooky factor, drizzle a bit of the cranberry simple syrup over the cupcakes and serving plate.
Not big into cocktails? Then just omit the vodka for a Halloween treat for all ages. I have to say, however, that booze, cupcakes, and Halloween are seriously the best combo ever!
