Have I ever told you that the winter holidays are my favorite? I am one of those people who loves to celebrate everyday of December whether it be a drive around the neighborhood to look at all the lights, baking holiday cookies with my kids, or a party with friends. I want to do them all! This year, I decided to not wait around to get invited to a holiday party, but instead throw one for all my friends complete with Canada Dry® Seasonal Sparkling Punch, Triscuit® Reindeer and Tree bites, and all the colors I could possibly stuff into a small space!
When I started to think of the theme for this party, I knew I wanted it to feel like a winter wonderland, but with my own unique colorful twist. So I started with a clean white slate that included a white tree, white faux fur rug, and white buffet. Then I layered in a rainbow of colorful ornaments, tons of brightly wrapped gifts, and colorful modern DIY bottle brush trees, colorful snow.

One of my biggest tips when throwing a holiday party in non traditional colors is to stick to decorations and shapes that are traditional (ie trees, snowflakes, presents), but make them in your own unique colors scheme. By having those traditional elements in there, the party will still feel very holiday, even if the colors don’t!

Of course no party is complete without sips and snacks! For my winter wonderland party, I partnered with Canada Dry and Triscuit crackers to create the tastiest seasonal sparkling punch and cheesy reindeer and tree bites.

The Triscuit reindeer and tree bites were so simple to assemble! All you need are Triscuit crackers, wedge shaped soft cheese in a flavor of your choice, pecan halves, cherry tomatoes cut in half, cracked peppercorns, and basil pesto.
To assemble the crackers, cut the wedge cheese into thirds and place one triangle on a cracker. Then add the cherry tomato half, peppercorn eyes, and pecan antlers. For the trees, add the cheese to the cracker, then drizzle with basil pesto and add the tomato to the top for the star and a pecan sliver for the trunk.

Top it off with a gingerbread cake and your snacks are taken care of. For the sips I combined Canada Dry ginger ale with Champagne, frozen cranberries, and fresh rosemary for the ultimate bubbly punch.
