You all loved the simple ornament drink stirrer tutorial for a few weeks back, so I came up with another simple DIY idea using the same ornament felt balls. DIY Ornament felt ball magnets! They are super cute to hang on your fridge or magnet board during the holidays and do double duty as an adorable way to display your Christmas cards too!
Materials:
- 1″ felt balls in assorted colors (or go for shades of red and green if you are a traditionalist!)
- 3/4″ ceramic magnets
- Ornament caps (I pulled these off of cheap dollar spot ornaments)
- Hot glue or industrial strength adhesive like E6000
Begin by glueing the ornament caps onto the felt balls, then glue the magnets on to the back. Let the glue dry (overnight for the e6000 or 5 minutes for the hot glue) and your magnets are ready to use!
I don’t think this tutorial could be easier if I tried! Well, I guess you could just glue magnets onto the back of mini ornaments, but I love the cozy vibe of the felt balls. Then just use the ornament magnets to display all those cards that are starting to roll in!
And just like a few of my past tutorials, if you don’t want to make them or worry about getting all the correct supplies, you can purchase a set pre-made by me here in my Etsy shop.
