Today’s post is a quick one as I am about to head out to our local Fox affiliate and do a segment on making rainbow bath bomb pops for Valentine’s Day. And tomorrow I am helping through a love themed birthday party for a a fellow color loving Austinite. So I am currently looking like a chicken with its head cut off! But I figured I had enough time to share this little side table DIY I put together a few weeks ago for a Galentine’s party coming soon to Martha Stewart’s blog.

Again, I have a hard time calling this a DIY, because it is basically just putting together three things and so super simple. But it is such a cute little side table that I just had to share!

To make it I used a gold wire basket from Target and a gold and wood tray also from Target in their Magnolia line. Then it was just a matter of tipping the basket upside down and filling it with disco balls and then placing the tray on the top. If you want this to be a permanent table, you can always use liquid nails to attach the tray to the basket. I however like that I can disassemble it and reuse the pieces in different ways if I ever want a change.

For the disco balls I purchased mine on Amazon and the small ones were from Consumer Crafts as part of their holiday collection (they were actually ornaments!). But you can find all sizes of disco balls on Amazon for fairly cheap. The large one was only $8!

But doesn’t it just look so cute?! Who would have known it was just a basket and a tray?! And those disco balls totally take it over the top! But sometimes you just need to add a few disco balls to a room to make it really shine! -Kara
