I just realized that I have been doing so many events lately and have forgotten to post about all of the balloons and parties here! I have shared most of these on Instagram or in my Instagram stories, but I wanted to write a little more and share all the photos here. The last few weeks have been a whirlwind of activities behind the scenes from 2 blog conferences, a launch party for inLieu (a new charitable giving app), more balloon installs, and a fun spring party. Whew! I am tired just writing that!
Thrive Blog Conference
First up I helped do two balloon installs for the Thrive Blog conference that took place here in Austin at the end of February. One for the exterior of the building and one large balloon backdrop wall for one of the conference sponsors, Savings.com.
The lighting inside the event space wasn’t ideal, but you can get the idea. This balloon wall was about 7-8′ tall and about 10′ wide! And such a fun new challenge for me! But I love the way it turned out.
inLieu Launch
Next up I helped style and do balloons for the launch of a new charitable giving app, inLieu. I love the concept behind the app and was thrilled to help them with their launch party. It is basically like Venmo for charitable giving and their tag line is “don’t bring a gift, give one”. So they are making it easy to give donate to a charity of your choice in lieu of giving a tangible gift to someone. Through the app you are able to donate to any charitable organization and the fee is limited to just $1 plus credit card processing fees no matter how much you donate which is amazing!
For the event, my assistant, Jen, and I created a two balloon installations (one inside and one out) as well as helped with media gifts, centerpieces, table linens and styling, and the dessert table. We also set up two lounge spaces with the help of Party at the Moontower.
It was such an amazing event and I hope to be able to help with more of these in the future!
Katie Kime Office
Next up I had the pleasure of working with Katie Kime again to create a large balloon install for her office for SXSW. Of course a pretty building makes the balloons look even more impressive!
Floral Garden Party
And last but not least, I threw a fun floral garden party for Oriental Trading Company! You can see all the details on that party here!
Whew! What a month of balloons and parties! And it’s only half way through! I can’t wait to see what the rest of the month has in store.

Are your balloons reusable? I can’t imagine those large ones being cheap!

The big ones are! I just have to untie them.
