Are you looking for yet another way to add a little plant life to your home? Or maybe you are just thinking, “dang, I really need more cacti in my life”. Well, not to worry friends. I have you covered on both! These DIY simple cactus painted planters work perfectly as planters (obvs), but can also hold pens, pencils, and office supplies. Or make them using a giant ceramic kitchen organizer instead for a little pop of cacti in your kitchen. However you make them, they will be done and ready in about 20-30 minutes and ready to display!
-Concrete or ceramic pots (these are from Target in the garden section)
-Acrylic craft paint in shades of green
–Gold leaf pen
This first step is pretty difficult, so get ready. You will begin by painting your pots with your green cactus colored paint and let dry. Oh so challenging, right?! Hehehe.
Next, use the gold paint pen to draw the spines of the cactus. You can choose between lines, little arrows, or simple sprinkle like spines. Let the gold paint dry, then fill your cactus painted cups with anything your heart desires. Cacti in cacti? Sure! Pens and pencils? Perfect!
Seriously, these DIY simple cactus painted planters could not be easier! And I love the metallic gold spines! It makes the planter oh so fancy looking.
Now go out and craft your perfect cactus! Just don’t be a prick about it. Ha!
Bahaha! Love your board ^_^ I always struggle to think of hilarious things to write on it. Plus.. it takes forever to arrange those letters!
I love your planters. I have a cement planter to customise and I haven’t been able to figure out what the heck to do with them. I might just get the paint and make a mess!
What a great project
