Behind the Scenes at Kailo Chic Lately

filed under

My goodness! It has been a busy month behind the scenes at Kailo Chic, preparing for May and all the events I have coming up. Back in February I took on my first few event planning and styling projects along with doing balloons installations for a few local events. It was fun and I loved it, so when I was asked to do a few events in May, I was on board! Then I realized that I may have taken on way too much.

So here I am in the thick of preparing for the whirl wind that is about to come. Balloons for a big birthday bash this week, a lounge set up and balloons for Joann at the Go Wild conference here in town plus tons of balloons for a gala the next day. Then it’s on to a launch party for a new collection I have been collaborating on behind the scenes and a trip to LA to lead a workshop on crafting with FIMO clay! Not to mention blog projects for my blog, blog projects for everyone I contribute to, working on the last details for my holiday 2018 collection, and making all the orders that come in through my shop. Whew! I’m tired just typing that out! Lets hope it all goes smoothly!

But in the meantime, while I am keep all the balls in the air, I wanted to share a few projects I have been working on for a few different blogs and companies that I haven’t shared here yet.

Colorblocked Velvet Bench

First up is this colorblocked velvet bench I made for A Beautiful Mess.

Next, I made this fun planter inspired by Katherine Sabbath’s buttercream petal cake.

Minnie Mouse Bowtique Party

I also worked with Townley girl to style the cutest Minnie Mouse Bowtique party for my daughter. I went with a completely colorful take. I’m so obsessed with how the paper plate Minnie Mouse faces turned out! You can find even more party ideas here on the townley girl blog.

Product Collection Launches

And finally, I launched two new collections last week in my shop! First, new patterned throw pillows! Also, solid color gift wrap that doubles as the perfect flatlay and backdrop paper for small vignettes. Grab your favorite piece in the shop.

Well, that’s about it for me! I hope you enjoyed the look behind the scenes at Kailo Chic! Now onto a day of sewing and photoshoots for a few upcoming projects! The fun never stops my friends!
