Want a super simple and quick way to elevate plain paper plates for the holidays? Why not add a few paper or felt holly leaves and turn them into holly and berry plates for the holidays? These DIY holly leaf holiday plates are perfect for your holiday cookie swap party or gingerbread house decorating party. I can even see a whole holly party themed around them. Whenever you choose to make them, one thing is for sure, they are simple to make and really elevate a plain red paper plate!
How stinking adorable are they?!
- Red paper plates (I love this slim line ones from Oh Happy Day)
- Felt or green cardstock in different shades
- Vinyl cutter or scissors
- Double sided tape
- This holly leaf template
Begin by printing and cutting out the holly template. Then trace the template onto your cardstock. Use scissors to cut out the holly leaves and then adhere them to the underside of the paper plates using the double sided tape.
If you are using a vinyl cutter, upload the holly leaf template to your cutting program. And cut out the leaves from card stock or felt. Then simply use the double sided tape to adhere them to the under side of the plates. So simple!
I almost feel bad calling these DIY holly leaf holiday plates a tutorial. They really are as simple and print, cut, and glue. But it really takes these plain plates to the next level. I have a few more ideas on how to elevate the plain solid color paper plate up my sleeve, so stay tuned for more ideas soon.
