I am so excited about todays Halloween craft project! I love puns but am usually very bad at making them up. I think I am just too logical and can only hear and see the original meaning of words. So it makes it really hard to think outside that constraint and come up with funny puns for me. But, after finding these paper mache books, I came up with the perfect Halloween witch themed puns (after thinking I would title them with spells, potions, etc) and am soooo excited about how these pastel Halloween motivational witch book decorations turned out! Without further ado, let me introduce you to the most awesome pastel Halloween decorations you never knew you needed to make!
I mean, can you even?! All of your favorite women centered, entrepreneur, motivational books reimagined for the witch in you! I didn’t even have to change the title of Big Magic! It was perfect just the way it was written! OMG I am dying! I love them so much!
Materials to make your own pastel Halloween motivational witch book decorations:
- Paper mache books (or real hardcover books)
- Craft paint
- Paint brush
- Black adhesive vinyl
- Vinyl cutting machine
- This template
Begin by painting your book covers with the acrylic paint, then let dry. Once dry, use your vinyl cutter to cut out the template above from black vinyl.
Weed out the negative space from the cut out book titles and then use transfer tape to transfer the titles onto the book covers. Of course I also added in Potions and Spells to flush out the grouping. If you are really talented, you can just hand letter the titles on the books with a paint pen instead. But I am not that skilled!
So obsessed with how these turned out! Now Ghoul, go wash your face and then make these fun pastel Halloween motivational witch book decorations and throw yourself a witchy book club Halloween party with all your ghoulfriends!
