By now you are aware that I love colorful Halloween decorations! And if you haven’t heard, I just launched my colorful Halloween decor and party goods over in my shop. So I figured what better way to celebrate the new collection that throw the most colorful bat themed Halloween party complete with a DIY colorful Halloween bat balloon garland and a few of my bat themed party goods!

Is this not the most fun and colorful Halloween party ever?! While it would be perfect for kids, I think it could work for an adult party too!

Bat Themed Halloween Decorations

You can see above I used my bat and moon cake topper for the cake, and the felt bat drink stirrers to mark everyones cups. Then of course my new paper plate designs in the 80’s pumpkin and colorblocked grid to serve the cake. This is my first forray into paper party goods, and I am loving the way they turned out!

Halloween Bat Balloon Garland

Now that you have the party goods taken care of, lets talk about the show stopping DIY colorful Halloween bat balloon garland. To make this garland I followed my balloon garland tutorial here and used an assortment of bright colors of Qualatex balloons. Then I used adhesive hooks to tie and attach the garland to the wall. The final touch was using my Cricut maker to cut out black cardstock bats (you can also buy them precut here). Then I used glue dots to attach the bats to the balloons and wall so that it looks like the bats are flying around the party.

I love the contrast of the black bats against the colorful balloons, don’t you? If you aren’t into this colorful of a Halloween party, you can always go with all white balloons or all orange for a more traditional look. And how fun would black glitter cardstock bats be too?!

Add in a few pumpkins and spiders and your ready to do the monster mash with all your closest ghouls!
