I will be the first to admit that I love to craft and create. Especially when I am needing time to process things or need an mood boost. Crafting for me is essential and gives me so much happiness. So during this time of being at home and the craziness happening in the world, I find myself wanting to create and make more than ever. I quite literally had the idea and whipped up these DIY colorful modern yarn wall hangings Wednesday afternoon.
When I have an idea I like to move quick on it if I can! Mostly because I am too excited to let it stay in. I have to make it to share with you all.
For these DIY colorful modern yarn wall hangings, I used my glowforge to laser cut birch plywood into organic geometric shapes. Then I painted the shapes, glued them together and added yarn tassels.
To say I am obsessed is an understatement! I cannot wait to make more!

Materials to make your own DIY Colorful Modern Yarn Wall Hangings:
-wood glue (hot glue works too!)
– paint
-yarn
To make your wall hanging, just paint, glue the pieces together, and then add your yarn tassels. Then finish it off by gluing the leather strip on the back or through the slot at the top depending on the kit you get.
Most kits come in two sizes with the small size being only $10 and the large $20. I tried to keep the pricing affordable so that everyone can craft one up at home.
