DIY Leopard Print Wall with Cricut Joy

filed under

A month or two ago (who can remember with everyday being the same!), I shared the new DIY leopard print wall that I made with the Cricut Joy over on Instagram. You probably also saw it in the background of several of my DIYs lately too. Anyway, I am finally getting around to sharing the cut file with you so that you can create your own unique leopard print wall with vinyl decals too.

The process is really as simple as cutting out the two cut files (one for the colored sections and one for the black sections) with your Cricut Joy (or other vinyl cutting machine if you have one), and sticking the pieces to the wall like giant stickers.

Simple, but so fun and colorful!

Supplies to make your own DIY Leopard Print Wall with the Cricut Joy:

Begin by uploading the cut file jpg to design space. Then weld to the cutting board and cut the black outlines on black vinyl and the colored sections on the colored vinyl you chose. For this expanse of wall I used one 12″ long section of dark pink, lime, mint, coral, light pink, and lavender colors and 4 rolls of the 48″ long black vinyl. This wall is appx. 8′ by 8′.

To apply, simply peel off the colored sections and place them spread out on the wall. Then come back and layer on the black sections to create your leopard pattern. Fill in between the colorful leopard spots with plain black spots and your done!

You can use this same tutorial to create any colorful leopard print wall you want. Maybe you paint the wall a dark teal first and then layer on mustard yellow and cream spots, or stick to all black and white. The choice is yours and any way you do it will sure to make an amazing statement wall.

When you are ready for a change, the spots peel right off with no damage to the walls. Just be sure to use removable vinyl!
