DIY Bow Candles & Candle Holders

As much as I love ALL of the colors, today I’m using classic Valentine’s Day pink and red to craft up some candles and candle holders inspired by the bow trend. First, I’ll show you how I made the DIY bow candles. I used pink and red wax craft sticks to form little bows, then stuck them onto coordinating taper candles. You can check out the DIY video for the taper candles here, and the one for the bow candle holders right here!

Once you’ve got your candles ready, why not take it a step further and craft some DIY polymer clay bow candle holders? I made a pair, in light pink and red to go with the taper candles. Here’s how.

Supplies:

Instructions:

Step 1: Roll out your clay and cut it into three strips, about 1″ wide and 6″ long. Use two of the pieces to create the bow loop; trim the ends of the last piece into bow ends.

Step 2: Press the pieces of clay together, forming your bow shape. Then add a 1″x3″ section of clay around the middle.

Step 3: Use some of the scrap clay to form a ring to hold the taper candle, but leave it unattached for now.

Step 4: Bake clay in the oven at 275° F for 15 minutes. Let cool, then super glue the ring on top.

Now your candle holders are ready to have their moment! Add your DIY bow taper candles and enjoy your romantic Valentine’s Day creation.
