DIY Cherry Sorbet Mimosa

filed under

Every Valentine’s Day dinner needs a dessert, right? Well, this DIY cherry sorbet mimosa is a dessert and cocktail in one! Or you can swap the champers out for sparkling grape juice or cider and make it alcohol free. Up to you! Here’s a link to the full DIY video.

The combo is so simple—just add two scoops of cherry or raspberry sorbet to your favorite coupe glass. Add your DIY chocolate stems, and then top with your sparkling beverage of choice. Serve after dinner for a romantic and sweet finish to your Valentine’s Day meal. This treat would also work great for a Galentine’s Day brunch.

Ingredients:

  • Cherry or raspberry sorbet
  • Green chocolate melts + parchment paper and large zip-top bag for piping
  • Champagne or sparkling juice

Instructions:

Step 1: Make your DIY chocolate cherry stems. Follow the package instructions to melt your green candy melts. Spoon the melted chocolate into a large plastic zip-top bag, cut out the tip, and pipe the chocolate onto parchment paper in the shape of a cherry stem. Let it dry.

Step 2: Add two scoops of sorbet to a coupe glass. Make sure they are round and smooth and close to the same size.

Step 3: Place your chocolate cherry stems on top of the two scoops of sorbet.

Step 4: Top with champagne or sparkling juice.

Let me know if you would try this DIY! I think I might make the juice version for my kids for an after-school Valentine’s Day treat.
