This craft is the perfect opportunity to get creative. What are your favorite fruits and vegetables? I chose ones that remind me of spring: strawberries, carrots, radishes, peas-in-a-pod, pineapples, tomatoes, blueberries, leeks, even a couple watermelons! Use your imagination to recreate egg-sized versions of all your favorites.
Supplies:
- Hard-boiled eggs (white eggs work best at taking the colors)
- Easter egg dye tabs
- Crayons
- Felt
- Scissors
- Hot glue
Instructions:
Step 1: Dye your hard-boiled eggs according to the package directions. Let cool.
Step 2: Use your creativity to create fun fruits & veggies. I drew the designs on with crayon. Some work better if you draw them on beforehand, like the white spots on the strawberries.
Step 3: Cut out the greenery for your plants from felt. I used a few shades of green: a dark, a bright, and a muted grassy green.
Step 4: Hot glue your felt on and let dry. These fruit and veggie eggs make the cutest Easter centerpiece lying atop some Easter grass.
