It’s practically summer, and you know what that means—I’m busting out all my red, white, and blue decor for my home. I’ve added a ton of Fourth of July and summer products to my shop, and I decided to whip up this rocket pop doormat to match! It’s so easy; truly the perfect craft to start your summer off right. You can head here if you want to see the full DIY video.
Doesn’t it look so great with my felt banners? You can grab your own in the Kailo Chic shop.
Supplies:
- Plain, natural doormat
- Craft knife
- Spray paint in red, white, and blue
- Black acrylic paint
- Letter stencil
Instructions:
Step 1: Start by tracing the shape of the rocket pop on the back of the doormat using chalk or a white paint marker.
Step 2: Use your craft knife to cut out the rocket pop shape.
Step 3: Spray paint the body of the pop in red, white, and blue. Keep the white in the middle since that is where your words will go. Let it dry.
Step 4: Use your letter stencils and black acrylic paint to spell out a phrase of your choice. I used “Pop on in” and finished off with some stars at the bottom.
See? Couldn’t be easier. Let me know what other Fourth of July crafts you’d love to see!
