My disco bats really up the game on the classic “bats on the wall” look for Halloween. You can grab your own from my shop. You can select multiple sizes for an even more dynamic look, but for this project I used the two-inch bats. I busted out my favorite alcohol inks to take these disco bats into another dimension. I dabbed on orange, gold, purple, and pink for a colorful yet decidedly holiday-specific look. See the full DIY video!
They look so magical, flying across my mirror and up toward the ceiling!
Follow these steps to get your own colorful disco bats!
Supplies:
- Disco bats (2″)
- Alcohol inks
- Sponge
- Velcro Command strips
Instructions:
Step 1: Add the alcohol ink to a sponge and dab it on the disco ball and acrylic wings (dabbing will help with color saturation). Choose the colors that work best with your Halloween decor. You may even want to keep some of them silver!
Step 2: Use the Velcro Command strips to hang the little bats on your wall, mirror, shelf, or wherever you want! You’ll want to remove a few disco tiles from the back of the disco ball first and glue the Command strip directly to the foam ball. This will help it to stick.
