I just love when I can make an entire project with just a few sheets of colorful paper! This Christmas lightbulb paper wreath accomplished just that and looks super cute to boot. Below I will share the template for this 3D lightbulb so that you can recreate this wreath for your holiday home.
Yes, even the bow is made from paper! To make this project you will need the following supplies:
Supplies for your Christmas lightbulb paper wreath:
- Pack of Colored Paper (I used a pack of Astrodesigns 12″ by 12″ colored card stock from Walmart)
- Hot glue
- Scissors
- Wreath form (you can use a wood one from the craft store or make your own by cutting one out of a cardboard box)
- This 3D lightbulb template
To make your wreath, begin by cutting 3″ wide strips of green paper, then fringe cut them leaving 1/2″ at the top uncut. Layer the light green and dark green paper and wrap around your wreath form glueing to the form as needed to secure the paper. Overlap the paper slightly as you work your way around the wreath form. When you finished wrapping the wreath, glue the ends of the paper to the form to secure.
Next it is time to make your lightbulbs, simple print out the template onto your paper and cut out with scissors. Then fold on the lines and hot glue the bulb together. Add a gray paper strip to the top with hot glue and glue onto your wreath. For the bow, you can use this template, or you can just free cut one like I did and glue it to the top of the wreath.
I love how this wreath turned out and not only is it a show stopper, it was so inexpensive to make! Yay for affordable crafts!
