If you’ve been on my blog before, you’ve probably seen some of my DIY fake cake projects (like this mirror and this Easter basket). They’re always a blast to make because you get to pipe the spackle like it’s cake frosting! It should come as no surprise that I made a Christmas version. Ready to see my DIY fake cake wreath mirror?
So festive! Let’s make one together. Just gather your supplies and follow my step-by-step instructions below. Check out the full DIY video tutorial for a closer look.
Supplies:
- Round mirror
- Lightweight spackle
- Green acrylic paint
- Piping bag and frosting tip
- Faux Christmas sprinkles
- Red bow
Instructions:
Step 1: I used a lightweight spackle tinted with green paint, piping it on the border of the mirror with a piping bag and tip.
Step 2: While the spackle was still wet, I added faux holiday-themed sprinkles and a bow (from my shop) to finish off the look.
This adorable wreath is equal parts classic and kitsch!
