With spring on the horizon, I’m so excited to start crafting for the upcoming season! One of my favorite things to do in the spring is take Easter eggs and use them in unexpected ways. These DIY Easter egg mushrooms are a good example. See the full DIY video here!
I started with some colorful speckled foam Easter eggs from the craft store. I cut them in half and attached them to clay stems to create a whole toadstool scene. I added some Easter grass as well as some of my acrylic bunnies to round it out.
Okay, it’s time for you to get to crafting! This is one your kiddos can help out with as well—they’ll love helping shape the mushroom stems.
Supplies:
Instructions:
Step 1: Use your utility knife to cut the foam eggs in half. Smooth out the bottoms.
Step 2: Take some white air-dry clay and roll it into a stem shape.
Step 3: Hot glue the stem to the mushroom top.
Now you can create a whole field of colorful mushrooms for spring!
