So, about a year ago I made some awesome pizza pretzels, then I forgot to ever write a post about them. So here it is, finally. First off I have to say thank you to Yammie’s Noshery for the awesome post on Auntie Anne’s copycat pretzels.
I used her recipe, but instead of just making regular pretzels, I flattened out the dough rolls and added provolone cheese and mini pepperoni. I then pinched the dough close to make a tube filled with the yummy cheese and pepperoni and twisted it into the pretzel shape, dipped it in the baking soda water, sprinkled it with kosher salt, and baked until golden brown.
These were SOOO good fresh from the oven and served with some marinara for dipping. Try your own favorite pizza combo! Mushrooms, peppers, and sausage anyone?
