Today is all about our master bedroom and it is a very picture heavy post. This is a space that we rarely spend much time in aside from sleeping, so the design is fairly minimal. We only recently added the TINY couch that used to reside in our playroom. But, I do love the mix of colors going on in here. Especially the wall color (gossamer sky by Valspar) which changes color in the sunlight. Sometimes it appears to be very light blue and others it takes on a seafoam color. To me it always feels light and airy which is a big change from our previous master bedroom which had dark chocolate colored walls. We have plans to upgrade to a king size bed soon (we currently have a queen), and hopefully with that change will also come a new adult headboard and frame. The one that we currently have is from Ikea, and while it was nice to have a low bed for a while, we are definitely ready for the change to adult bed! Take a look and let me know what you think or if you have a questions about particulars.
I purchased these baskets on sale at Target, and I used them to hold
the decorative pillows and throw blanket from our bed. The floral art was from Home Goods.
The rug and small side table are also Target finds, and the mini rast dresser was an Ikea hack that I have yet to post the DIY for (oops).
Here is the little couch I mentioned. I got this couch at Ikea about 5 years ago and it has been in our playrooms since then. We recently got a new to us couch for the playroom, so this little guy made the move into our bedroom. It is very stained and discolored, so I plan to attempt a DIY dye job on it. I will definitely post the results of that experiment when the time comes. As for the pillows, those are ones that I made myself. One came from an old dress and one came from some table cloth material from Target.
These fun gold rimmed agate curtain tie backs are ones that I made and you can get the details here.
I hope you enjoyed taking a look around my master bedroom. I think I covered all the little details, but if you need to know where I got something, just comment and ask!
