Drink It – A Watermelon Rosé Mojito

filed under

It’s National Wine Day! And of course you know I couldn’t let the day pass without a fun cocktail to celebrate with. Not that I really need National Wine Day to celebrate wine, but I’m not going to pass up the opportunity either! If you haven’t been able to tell by now, I love a tasty fruity cocktail. It’s my go to drink of choice. But recently I have enjoyed a glass of wine or two. But I still need a little fruity infusion. This watermelon rosé mojito is the perfect summer wine cocktail with all the flavors of the season represented. Watermelon? Yes! Mint? Sure! Rosé? Heck yes! A pretty garnish? Now your talking!

Anyone else obsessed with cocktail garnishes? It’s the simplest way to turn a regular cocktail into something super special. And I am all about special. I’m not going to wait until a date night to indulge in a fancy cocktail, when I can make one for myself at home!
Watermelon Rosé Mojito

  • 8 leaves mint
  • 3 ounces watermelon juice
  • ½ oz. fresh lime juice
  • ¾ oz. Torani Mojito Mint Syrup
  • 4 oz. sparkling rosé wine
Begin by muddling the mint in a shaker, add in 1 cup of ice, watermelon juice, lime juice, and mint syrup. Shake to chill. Pour into a cocktail glass and top with sparkling rosé and stir to combine. For the garnish I cut watermelon into three triangles and skewered them with my new favorite bar cart addition, these gold cocktail picks. Then a final sprig of mint from my garden, and the cocktail was ready!
Happy National Wine Day! Go enjoy a glass! xo. Kara
