Today I am sharing a few of my favorite tips for making a Mother’s Day sips and sweets party extra special.

Sips for the Mother’s Day Sips and Sweets Party

Now that you have entered to win a year’s worth of flowers, lets talk about the cocktails! Have you ever heard of a Seagram’s Escapes Momosa™? It is my idea of the perfect cocktail, sweet, flavorful, and bubbly! To make your own you just need to add 2/3 cup Seagram’s Escapes in your favorite flavor (mine is Jamaican Me Happy, and my mom’s is the Blueberry Acai Lemonade) and 1/3 cup of sparkling wine to a glass. Easy and oh so tasty! 

With so many flavors to choose from, you are sure to find one that the mom in your life will love! So, be sure to fill your bar cart with all the flavors so that each lady can choose their favorite! And don’t forget the bottle of bubbly!

Snacks

If cocktails are the most important part of a party, then snacks are definitely second! For this Mother’s Day sips and sweets party, I bought a few easy to snack on treats like macarons and mini tarts, and made homemade raspberry cheesecake filled lemon cookie thins. To make your own, whip together 1 block of cream cheese, 1 cup of heavy cream, 1/2 cup sugar, 1 tsp vanilla, and a handful of fresh raspberries. Then simply sandwich the cheesecake mixture between two lemon cookies from the grocery store. So delicious and so easy to make!

Decor

Of course, to make your Mother’s Day sips and sweets party the best, you need a few decorations. And nothing is as special as balloons and flowers. For the flowers, try buying a few different bouquets at the store and create your own arrangements. I tend to create one large arrangement that I display front and center on the bar cart or where it will be seen the most, then a use the extra flowers to create a few mini arrangements to place around the room. A few bouquets is all you really need to create quite a statement.

The final touch for the perfect sips and sweets party? A giant balloon installation. Now, this may seem overwhelming if you haven’t made one before, but it’s amazing how $20 of balloons can really transform even the most simple space. For this balloon garland I used balloons in shades of pink, coral, and goldenrod and used my tutorial here to pull it all together. The power of balloons and flowers never cease to amaze me!
